REACH is a recipient of a grant from the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative (RMAPI) to construct the first Tiny Home in our proposed Tiny Home village!
For the past four winters we have created and staffed emergency shelters for homeless persons unable to find shelter anywhere else. We are pleased that for 2018-19 we once again partnered with Dimitri House, Inc. to provide winter temporary transitional housing for homeless men and women at 102 N. Union Street.
Beyond addressing immediate needs we work to find sustainable housing solutions and services to reduce the recurring need for these emergency arrangements. To learn about our efforts over the summer toward a possible community of tiny homes please see our volunteer page.
REACH Advocacy advocates for and with chronically homeless persons in the Rochester, NY area, seeing that all are treated with dignity and respect.
REACH Advocacy collaborates to create safe, financially sustainable, housing options to meet the needs of chronically homeless individuals by ensuring services needed and encouraging mutual care.
