What We Do

REACH is a recipient of a grant from the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative (RMAPI) to construct the first Tiny Home in our proposed Tiny Home village!

REACH Home 2018/19 Is Now Open

We are now housing more than 30 men and women, but these efforts depend on community support. To help meet this year’s needs please donate (in cash or in kind) and /or volunteer as you are able.

Urgently needed as of March 18: cleaning products (spray cleaner such as Clorox clean up; liquid cleaner for mopping such as Spic and Span, Fabuloso, or the like; aerosol disinfectant such as Lysol spray; laundry bleach), underwear, laundry pods, paper towels, toilet paper.

For the past three winters we have created and staffed emergency shelters for homeless persons unable to find shelter anywhere else. We are pleased that for 2018-19 we have once again partnered with Dimitri House, Inc. to open winter temporary transitional housing for homeless men and women at 102 N. Union Street.

Beyond addressing immediate needs we work to find sustainable housing solutions and services to reduce the recurring need for these emergency arrangements. To learn about our efforts over the summer toward a possible community of tiny homes please see our volunteer page.
