On Saturday, October 19th, an intergenerational group of thirty helpers from the local chapter of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints helped clean and prepare the new REACH Home emergency wintertime shelter for 2019-20. This was the third large-scale effort from CJCLDS volunteers on behalf of REACH Advocacy, Inc. over the past year. They helped install a new lawn at our intended tiny home village last fall, helped close down the REACH Home winter shelter at 102 North Union Street last spring, and assisted this past weekend at our new shelter on West Main Street. REACH Advocacy is proud and appreciative of the contributions of our Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints supporters.
Work by individuals (and some moving assistance from the House of Mercy) continued to prepare our 2019-20 winter shelter for the planned pre-Thanksgiving opening.
