In the past year REACH Advocacy has incorporated as a not-for-profit organization under New York State law. In July we submitted our application to the Internal Revenue Service to become a 501(c)(3) organization; our application was approved in December.
From last October through February we worked with Causewave to help shape our organization’s purpose and vision and to outline what we need and expect in a Board. Since then we have been interviewing people to join our Board and hope to have a full slate of twelve members by the end of the year.
We have begun to create the Committees necessary to execute our mission; you can see the present committee structure below.
